Epic Tapestry Configuration Consultant

PENNEP is seeking an experienced Epic Tapestry Configuration Consultant with strong expertise in Care Management and exposure to Utilization Management (UM) to join our client’s dynamic team. This role focuses on configuring and optimizing Epic Tapestry solutions within a payer environment, supporting large-scale implementations and transformation programs. The ideal candidate will bring a payer-side background, strong knowledge of EDI transactions (X12 278, 834, 837), and hands-on experience working in complex, enterprise-level implementations.

• Configure and support Epic Tapestry Care Management solutions aligned to business and operational requirements.
• Translate payer business needs into system design and configuration within Epic Tapestry.
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements, workflows, and system enhancements.
• Support end-to-end implementation lifecycle including design, build, testing, and go-live.
• Apply knowledge of X12 transactions (278, 834, 837) to ensure accurate data exchange and interoperability.
• Participate in large-scale implementations, including system transitions and competitive displacement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across claims, enrollment, and care management domains.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and ensure adherence to Epic best practices.

• Payer-side career background; X12 278 / 834 / 837 transaction fluency.
• Care Management configuration depth required.
• Hands-on experience in large, complex implementations and competitive displacement contexts.

• Utilization Management configuration a strong plus.
• Kaiser Permanente or large national payer experience preferred.

A minimum of Bachelor's Degree
